Grüns, a nutrition consumer brand, is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to lead and scale their supply chain operations. You will report directly to the VP of Operations and own the end-to-end supply chain function, including demand planning, supplier negotiations, logistics network design, and team development. Key responsibilities include: - Own the monthly supply plan across the network of contract manufacturers and pack-out partners, working from demand forecasts down to purchase orders - Take over supplier relationships directly and build a structured negotiation program covering pricing tiers, capacity commitments, and quarterly business reviews with scorecards on delivery, yield, quality, and cost - Publish and own the fully burdened cost per unit, partner with Finance to track it, and identify levers to reduce costs through smarter allocation and procurement - Build and run a demand planning and monthly S&OP cycle that aligns Finance, Marketing, and Retail around a single forecast - Design and de-risk the logistics and 3PL network, including routing and freight decisions that affect landed cost - Manage and develop your team while staying hands-on in the planning model as the function scales - Migrate the planning process from spreadsheets to a dedicated system The ideal candidate brings a hands-on, commercially aggressive approach: you see a working system as a foundation to build on, stay in the model yourself with recommendations (not just data), make decisive calls with incomplete information, and communicate with brevity. You move with urgency and low ego. The company operates a fully remote, high-trust environment with biannual in-person off-sites. Grüns makes comprehensive nutrition gummies from 60 nutrient-dense whole-food ingredients, positioning itself against low-quality supplement alternatives. REQUIREMENTS: - 8–12 years in CPG supply chain, with at least 3 years owning a function or major end-to-end scope - Proven experience running an asset-light contract manufacturing network: allocating volume across multiple co-manufacturers or co-packers, working within MOQs and capacity ceilings, managing long lead times - Strong track record negotiating supplier agreements directly - Owned a cost-per-unit or COGS number; can articulate baseline, actions taken, and results - Built a supply plan in a model: net requirements, safety stock, on-hand inventory, open POs - Run or stood up an S&OP process and gotten cross-functional teams to commit to a number, including unpopular forecasts
