Salary: USD 110,000 - 160,000 / annual
Via is transforming transportation through technology, operating an innovative intermodal transit service. As Director of Strategy and Operations, you will lead the Montgomery operations hub—a first-of-its-kind service where you'll build systems and processes in real-time while managing daily operations, teams, and stakeholder relationships.
You will manage on-site daily operations of Via's Montgomery service, serving as the real-time point of contact for drivers, dispatchers, and shift managers. You'll prioritize operational issues, develop creative scheduling solutions for round-the-clock teams, and mentor the on-site team. As the face of the operation, you'll develop relationships with driver partners, customers, community leaders, and local organizations while liaising closely with Via senior management and external partners.
Key responsibilities include: developing clear metrics and KPI visibility on a weekly basis; preparing reports and analyzing data to improve operational processes and maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction; ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and company policies; and leading, coaching, and developing an engaged team of drivers to foster a collaborative, cohesive, and energetic environment.

**Requirements:**
- Minimum 6+ years of operations management experience
- Proven track record of managing teams for at least 3-5 years with demonstrated people development skills
- Independent self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments

- Experience in transit operations is a plus
