Tanium is seeking a Director of Strategic Accounts to lead enterprise software sales efforts in an assigned territory and/or key accounts. In this role, you will be responsible for generating opportunities and positioning the Tanium platform—a comprehensive endpoint management and security solution—to C-suite executives (CIOs, CISOs, VP Ops) and technical teams alike.
You will articulate the value of the Tanium platform to decision makers and expertly navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles. Key responsibilities include nurturing and developing relationships within your assigned territory, presenting to C-suite stakeholders, and collaborating with Partner and Marketing teams to define prospecting and sales strategies. You'll generate appropriate sales development activity to maintain a healthy pipeline, maintain accurate forecasting and CRM hygiene in Salesforce, conduct webinars and in-person presentations to generate qualified leads, and travel as needed to support customer engagement.
The ideal candidate brings significant enterprise software sales experience, with a proven track record of generating and closing large, complex software transactions with major regional customers. You should have demonstrated success exceeding quota, experience calling on and presenting to C-suite contacts, and a strong ability to build and cultivate relationships within partner ecosystems. A collaborative team mentality is essential—selling at Tanium is a team sport, and you must be skilled at managing and leveraging virtual resources to tackle large, complex sales cycles. You should be equally comfortable discussing business benefits and technical details, and capable of evangelizing and building new business opportunities within your territory.
