Sprig is a customer survey platform powered by AI agents, backed by $85M from top-tier VCs (Andreessen Horowitz, Accel, First Round Capital). The company is transforming how enterprise teams like Microsoft, DoorDash, Notion, Figma, Coinbase, and TripAdvisor understand their customers—moving from weeks of manual research to hours of AI-driven insights.
As Director of Sales, you'll lead and scale Sprig's mid-market sales organization through its next growth phase. This is a true player-coach role reporting directly to the Head of Revenue. You'll manage a team of Account Executives and Business Development Representatives, actively participate in strategic deals, and build repeatable sales processes that drive sustainable revenue growth.
Key responsibilities include: leading and developing a high-performing sales team with clear accountability and career growth paths; serving as a hands-on player-coach who works alongside AEs on complex deals and removes blockers; strengthening outbound strategy and pipeline generation with BDRs; building scalable sales playbooks, forecasting discipline, and CRM hygiene; recruiting and onboarding exceptional sales talent; and partnering cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and Leadership to refine messaging and improve the customer journey.
You'll bring 2–4 years of people management experience plus a track record as an Enterprise Account Executive. You thrive in high-growth startup environments, excel at coaching both AEs and BDRs, and demonstrate strong operational discipline around forecasting, territory planning, and pipeline management. You're comfortable with modern sales tools (HubSpot, Claude, ChatGPT) and ideally have experience selling to product and design teams with knowledge of usage-based pricing and land-and-expand motions. Above all, you lead from the front, communicate directly, embrace ambiguity, and take ownership while developing others.
The role is hybrid at Sprig's SF headquarters: 4 days in-office (Wednesday is work-from-home).
