Kin Euphorics is seeking a Director of Retail Sales to lead the company's retail channel strategy and execution across the United States. The company pioneers alcohol-free "euphorics"—beverages crafted with nootropics, botanicals, and adaptogens designed to enhance social experiences while maintaining clarity and wellness.
In this role, you will be responsible for expanding national and regional retail distribution, managing key retail partnerships, and driving revenue growth across multiple retail channels including national grocery, natural retail, specialty stores, and large format retailers. You will develop and execute a comprehensive retail sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives, build detailed annual and quarterly business plans for key retail channels, and identify high-priority retail partners and markets to accelerate national distribution.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining strong relationships with key retail buyers and category managers, managing strategic partnerships with national, regional, and specialty retailers, and leading negotiations related to pricing, margins, promotional calendars, and slotting fees. You will own retail channel revenue targets, sales forecasting, and profitability metrics, manage trade spend budgets, and monitor margin performance in close collaboration with finance and operations teams.
You will partner with marketing, supply chain, operations, finance, and product development to ensure successful execution of retail initiatives including product launches, promotional programs, and merchandising strategies. Additionally, you will monitor competitive brands, category innovation, and evolving consumer trends in the functional beverage space, providing actionable insights to leadership regarding retailer feedback and market opportunities.
The ideal candidate has 5-10+ years of experience in retail sales, key account management, or commercial leadership within beverage, CPG, or functional food categories, with proven success expanding retail distribution and scaling emerging brands. You should have strong experience working with national retail accounts and distributor networks, deep understanding of retail sales strategy and category management, and strong financial acumen including P&L management and trade spend optimization. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field is required; an MBA is a plus. You should be an entrepreneurial thinker with strong execution capabilities, highly collaborative, and passionate about health and wellness innovation.
