As Director of Provider Onboarding, you will own the provider activation function end-to-end, taking dietitians, medical providers, and therapists from signed offer to confidently seeing their first patient. You'll optimize an existing team already onboarding providers at scale while creating the 0→1 onboarding approach for new provider types (Medical and Therapy). The RD onboarding activation has remained flat all year and requires structural investment to improve the rate at which providers successfully start.
You will manage and grow a team of Provider Onboarding Associates, partner closely with Provider Recruiting upstream and Provider Strategy/Provider Enablement downstream, and collaborate with Credentialing, People, and Product throughout. You'll report to the Senior Director of Clinical Operations.
Key responsibilities include: diagnosing where providers stall between signed offer and first patient and building systems to improve metrics; hiring, ramping, and developing the onboarding team with clear performance expectations and accountability; designing the operating model and systems using CRM, sequencing, and LMS tooling to automate low-value touchpoints; building Medical and Therapy onboarding motions from scratch; owning capacity and ROI models for 2027 and beyond; and partnering cross-functionally to ensure thoughtful handoffs and strong provider experience.
The role is full-time, based in NYC (Gramercy office), with expectation to work in-person 3-4 days per week and some remote flexibility.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of experience, ideally in a marketplace, provider network, or high-growth startup environment
- Proven track record of owning a critical funnel metric end-to-end and structurally improving key funnel metrics
- Experience building and leading a front-line operations team with performance management structure and accountability to targets
- Strong instincts for systems and automation, knowing which human touchpoints to replace with AI and which to protect for delightful provider experience
- Comfort with numbers: cohort analysis, caseload modeling, and building ROI cases for headcount
- High bar for provider experience and commitment to making Nourish the best place for providers to work
- Energized by ambiguity, able to move through roadblocks and challenges to achieve outcomes
