Point One Navigation is building a unified location platform for precise positioning across robotics, autonomous systems, and transportation. The company's outdoor positioning product has established market traction and real revenue momentum.
As Director of Product, you will own the clarity, coordination, and execution integrity of the Product organization. This is a hands-on, execution-first role where you'll partner directly with engineering on technically complex product decisions—not just relay them.
Key responsibilities include:
**Product Definition & Requirements**: Lead structured customer and stakeholder interviews to document market-driven product requirements. Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and maintain these as living documents throughout the product lifecycle.
**Backlog & Roadmap Ownership**: Own the company-wide backlog, set prioritization criteria, and make final roadmap sequencing decisions in partnership with executive leadership. Maintain a transparent, resourced roadmap and communicate changes clearly when timing or sequencing shifts.
**Positioning Engine Product Direction**: Take direct ownership of the client/positioning-engine product roadmap—one of the most technically complex and highest-upside areas of the portfolio. Set a clear point of view on product direction, identify growth opportunities (particularly Indoor positioning), and free up executive/technical leadership time by owning this end-to-end.
**Cross-functional Alignment**: Ensure engineering builds stay aligned to market outcomes, surface tradeoffs early, and maintain structured visibility for field teams, customers, and leadership on what's coming, what shipped, and business impact.
You'll work in a high-performance, collaborative environment that prioritizes speed, efficiency, and continuous improvement. The role requires hands-on engagement with complex technical decisions, board/investor communication, and the ability to structure ambiguity into clear strategy.
