ServiceNow is seeking a Director of Portfolio Storytelling to lead the company's narrative strategy as it accelerates its transition to become an AI platform for business transformation. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Marketing, Brand, and Communications, responsible for defining and delivering a coherent, differentiated story across the entire product portfolio. You will operate both strategically and hands-on, partnering across the organization to shape the overall narrative while directly crafting storytelling that brings it to life—from product narratives to keynotes to major market moments. Key responsibilities include: • Shape and align the product portfolio narrative by working across Product, Marketing, Brand, and Communications to bring clarity and consistency to how the portfolio shows up in the market, connecting and elevating individual product stories into a coherent whole. • Translate product innovation into compelling storytelling by partnering closely with product teams and product marketers to understand what is being built, challenge thinking, elevate ideas, and connect individual innovations to broader narrative themes. • Connect launches and moments into one evolving story by working with the Launch Office to define a narrative arc that compounds over time across releases, flagship events, and campaigns, rather than resetting the story at each moment. • Lead strategic storytelling for major moments by taking a hands-on role in shaping how ServiceNow shows up in its most important moments, including writing and refining keynotes, executive presentations, and major market moments. • Own and scale the Messaging Guild by evolving it from a voluntary initiative into a formal operating model, bringing along distributed contributors while setting clear standards that raise the bar for messaging quality across the company. • Drive storytelling excellence across the organization by acting as a standard-setter for great storytelling, elevating quality and consistency through collaboration and influence. Success in this role means delivering a clear, coherent portfolio story that shows up consistently across launches; messaging that builds over time rather than resetting with each release; high-impact executive storytelling; stronger, more connected narratives from product teams; and a scaled Messaging Guild that raises storytelling quality organization-wide. REQUIREMENTS: • Proven track record as a world-class storyteller, including keynotes, executive narratives, and major market moments • Deep product marketing expertise across messaging, positioning, and value proposition • Ability to go deep technically and translate complex innovation into simple, compelling stories • Strong point of view and judgment, with ability to challenge and elevate thinking across teams • Exceptional collaborator and influencer across Product, Marketing, Brand, and Communications • Ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed environment, building trust and driving alignment across competing priorities • Hands-on mindset—equally comfortable shaping direction and doing the work
