DataCamp is a learning platform empowering individuals and Fortune 1000 companies to build data and AI skills through world-class courses, hands-on training, and a global community of expert instructors.
You will build and lead DataCamp's partnerships function, owning the strategy end-to-end and personally closing deals that define it. As the function grows, you will build and manage a small team while continuing to carry your own portfolio of relationships—a true player-coach role reporting to the Content organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Own partnership strategy for curriculum: identify which content providers, technology vendors, and marquee experts to partner with, in what order, and why
- Source, negotiate, and close partnerships including licensed and co-branded content, official vendor certifications, and marquee instructor deals
- Build and manage senior relationships across the AI, data, and cloud ecosystem, from partner leadership through content and product teams
- Work cross-functionally with curriculum, product, legal, and marketing to take partnerships from signed agreement to live content that learners complete
- Define and maintain high-quality partner standards, prioritizing depth and learner impact over volume of logos
- Own the commercial and contractual side of partnerships, including licensing terms, revenue share, and instructor agreements
- Hire, coach, and grow a small partnerships team over time while maintaining your own relationship portfolio
- Report on partnership performance to leadership and make strategic decisions on which partnerships to double down on or retire
Requirements:
- 3–5+ years in partnerships, alliances, or business development at a B2B SaaS or technology company, with a track record of sourcing and closing deals you personally led
- Deep fluency in the AI, data, and cloud landscape; understanding of key players, ecosystem shifts, and which partners will matter in 18 months
- Experience in education, EdTech, or enterprise L&D market with real understanding of what makes learning content valuable to buyers and learners
- Proven ability to build a function from near-scratch; self-starter who can seamlessly switch from strategy to execution
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills, including comfort with licensing, revenue share, and content rights
- Excellent cross-functional judgment; ability to work effectively with content, product, and legal teams and translate between partner ambitions and internal reality
Bonus qualifications:
- Existing network across AI and data technology vendors, certification bodies, or the creator and expert community in data and AI
- Deep understanding of the DataCamp course format and intuitive sense of what makes a great DataCamp course
- Experience as an educator or curriculum developer in technical education
