Salary: USD 110,000 - 150,000 / annual
Marathon Health is seeking a Director of Operations to lead a defined geographic region across the Southeast (Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee). This is a senior leadership role with full P&L accountability for a multi-site healthcare operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own full P&L responsibility for the region, including labor, supplies, and expense management
- Drive performance against budget while maximizing patient and client impact
- Champion operational discipline, quality, safety, and infection control across all health centers
- Lead adoption of standardized systems and tools to monitor performance
- Hire, develop, and lead clinical and operational teams; conduct performance management and annual reviews
- Oversee center staffing to maintain patient access and provider support
- Collaborate with onboarding teams for new center launches
- Drive visit volume, engagement, and participation rates across the region
- Ensure health center schedules are optimized for efficiency and patient satisfaction
- Maintain compliance with governmental, accreditation, and regulatory requirements
- Foster a culture of communication, engagement, accountability, and continuous learning
- Build and sustain executive-level partnerships with clients
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5–7 years of leadership experience in healthcare operations, multisite services, or comparable industry
- Proven success developing and building high-performing teams
- Demonstrated full P&L responsibility for a large business unit or division
- Expertise across clinical, operational, and business functions
- Strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and business judgment
- Exceptional client-facing skills
- Ability to thrive in a matrixed, fast-paced, high-accountability environment
Preferred:
- Experience in value-based healthcare, employer-sponsored healthcare, or population health management
