Salary: GBP 130,000 - 170,000 / annual
Monzo is a fintech company on a mission to make money work for everyone, transforming traditional banking through digital-first products. The Wealth team focuses on helping customers build and manage their financial future through Savings, Investments, and Pensions. You'll join as Director of Investments and Pensions, reporting to the Wealth GM, leading a strategically important growth area.
In this role, you'll translate Wealth strategy into clear customer, commercial, and growth agendas for Investments and Pensions. You'll drive business growth by identifying and sizing new products, partnerships, and market opportunities, developing compelling business cases, and securing buy-in from senior stakeholders. You'll own the commercial growth agenda, developing monthly growth plans across acquisition, transfers, engagement, and retention, alongside pricing recommendations in partnership with Finance and Product.
You'll shape Monzo's investment proposition by evaluating asset performance and defining its target state, including asset selection across Ready-Made Funds, ETFs, and ETCs, conducting ongoing due diligence, and assessing fair value. Working closely with Product squads, you'll ensure plans focus on important customer outcomes and commercial opportunities while providing deep investments expertise in guidance, support, educational content, and family wealth.
A key responsibility is helping scale Investments and Pensions into Europe, owning the workstream within market-entry planning and collaborating with country, regulatory, product, and operational teams to understand local tax wrappers, investment norms, customer needs, and competitive dynamics. You'll lead through influence, managing and coaching a high-performing team while influencing cross-functional squads. You'll bring together Product, Engineering, Design, Research, Data, Marketing, Legal, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and external partners to turn complex opportunities into clear plans and measurable outcomes.
