Salary: USD 160,000 - 190,000 / annual

Cambium is building a modern marketplace for wood, combining physical supply, strategic advisory, and a digital platform. The company has ~100 employees, completed three acquisitions in 18 months, achieved 5x revenue growth in 2025, and plans to triple revenue again in 2027. This Director of Growth Marketing role owns the customer lifecycle motion—turning first-project customers into long-term relationships at scale. You will build and lead the lifecycle function end-to-end and manage a growing piece of the marketing team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Day One: - Own the lifecycle and customer communication program across HubSpot: nurture, onboarding, expansion, re-engagement, email sends, templates, calendar, deliverability, and reporting - Lead customer advocacy: Built With Cambium program, testimonials, logo/quote permissions, and customer voice work feeding sales and brand - Partner with Sales on the self-serve plan: quote-request experience, speed-to-lead, and automation to get qualified customers fast answers without rep involvement - Integrate customer bases from acquisitions: consolidate contacts, lists, and CRM data into one system and program; develop repeatable playbook for future deals First 60 Days: - Audit the current lifecycle stack in HubSpot and email infrastructure (what exists, what's automated, what's manual, what's dormant) - Sit in Sales pipeline reviews and co-own the self-serve strategy - Ship one lifecycle program (e.g., post-first-project expansion sequence) - Map acquired customer bases and create a consolidation plan - Build a prioritized lifecycle roadmap for the next two quarters Six Months: - Attach a marketing program to expansion revenue with measurable metrics - Polish and automate the quote-request experience; unblock customers who don't need a rep - Consolidate acquired customers into one system with segmentation and active lifecycle programs; establish repeatable acquisition integration playbook REQUIREMENTS - 7+ years in growth or lifecycle marketing at B2B companies with long sales cycles - Proven track record building a lifecycle function from near-zero - Prior experience leading a growth marketing team - Deep expertise in HubSpot, Marketo, Braze, or Iterable; ability to build automation independently - Experience running customer programs (advocacy, references, community, etc.) and securing customer participation - Comfort with pipeline data: can query, validate, and present numbers to sales leadership - Generalist mindset: figures things out, rolls up sleeves, asks questions, comfortable with ambiguity (especially integrating three acquisitions) - Heavy user of AI tools with good judgment about their application - Nice to have: experience in physical products, construction, building materials, or professional/project-based buyer industries
