You will serve as Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, leading financial planning, forecasting, SaaS reporting, and decision support for this PE-backed, high-growth SaaS company. This is a core business partner role to the CFO and executive team, responsible for translating strategy into financial plans and enabling smart business decisions in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
The company operates with multiple products spanning recurring SaaS and variable merchant payment processing revenue streams, with a history of acquisitions. This is a hands-on role requiring deep involvement in financial modeling and planning rigor.
Key responsibilities include: owning the company's budget and rolling forecast; reconciling top-down targets with bottom-up assumptions; explaining forecast changes, risks, and sensitivities; owning and refining SaaS KPIs (CARR, ARR, MRR, GRR, NRR, churn, CAC); performing cohort, funnel, and unit-economics analysis; ensuring metric definitions are consistent and actionable; preparing monthly and quarterly executive and Board materials; translating complex analysis into clear summaries and recommendations; supporting investor reporting and strategic planning; supporting GTM planning and sales capacity modeling; evaluating pricing and investment tradeoffs; providing financial perspective on growth initiatives; influencing business talent through analytical rigor; setting high standards for analytical excellence; and improving planning processes and tools as the company scales.
Success means forecasts are credible and actively used by leadership, executives rely on FP&A to frame decisions, growth and investment decisions are grounded in clear tradeoffs, and FP&A scales smoothly with company growth.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years in FP&A or strategic finance at a SaaS or SaaS-adjacent company
- Strong command of SaaS metrics, forecasting, and unit economics
- Proven ability to build models and deliver actionable insight
- Experience partnering directly with senior executives
- Advanced Excel/Sheets skills; comfortable working with imperfect data
- Strong knowledge of and ability to recognize excellence in Finance
PREFERRED:
- Full-time investment banking analyst or associate training
- Experience at a VC-backed, high-growth company (100–1,000 employees)
- Experience in a SaaS or recurring-revenue business
- Familiarity with NetSuite, HubSpot, Salesforce, and BI tools
