You will lead the Client Engineering organization, overseeing Core Architecture, Engineering Productivity, and Quality Engineering teams. This role reports to senior leadership and manages Engineering Managers while partnering with Staff Engineers on complex technical challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
**Architectural Leadership**: Drive frontend strategy and technical standards for Tide's mobile and web applications. Partner with Staff Engineers to identify and resolve bottlenecks in large-scale monorepo workflows, ensuring sustainable codebase architecture.
**Technical Direction**: Evaluate the current tech stack (Flutter, Dart, modular architecture) and workforce model to maximize engineering leverage. Make pragmatic decisions balancing tool selection with business goals.
**Product Observability**: Advocate for systems providing global visibility into product experience across all configurations and deployment scenarios.
**Delivery Excellence**: Own the Release Engineering model, implementing comprehensive automation for high-frequency, predictable deployment cycles across mobile and web platforms.
**Emerging Technology**: Provide thought leadership on AI and agentic solutions for frontend optimization, automation, and personalized member experiences.
You bring seasoned leadership experience managing significant engineering organizations at scale. You're a skilled collaborator comfortable debating technical trade-offs, with deep frontend expertise across frameworks and platforms. You have a track record modernizing mobile release cycles and improving team velocity through system-level improvements. You understand how technical strategy serves commercial goals and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
