Yotpo is seeking a Director of Data to lead its evolving Data organization during a transformative growth phase. The company provides AI-powered Reviews and Loyalty solutions for eCommerce, serving over 30,000 global brands.
In this role, you will lead Yotpo's Data organization, owning the technical vision, architecture, and execution across Data Engineering and Data Infrastructure. You'll directly manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team while remaining hands-on with modern data technologies and architectural decisions. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Data organization through its next phase with a lean, high-performing operating model
- Owning technical vision and architecture for Data Engineering and Infrastructure
- Directly managing and mentoring a multidisciplinary team
- Providing hands-on technical leadership, guiding architectural decisions and design reviews
- Partnering across R&D, Product, Finance, Support, and GTM to deliver scalable data products
- Driving modernization of the data ecosystem, balancing proven technologies with emerging AI and automation approaches
- Leading strategic infrastructure and platform initiatives ensuring scalability and reliability
- Championing best practices in data engineering, platform reliability, and operational excellence
Required qualifications include 8+ years in Data Engineering, Data Platform, or related domains, plus 3+ years of engineering leadership with direct people management. You need strong hands-on expertise designing large-scale data platforms, deep understanding of modern data architectures (warehouses, lakes, pipelines, orchestration, cloud platforms), and proven ability to lead technical direction while remaining actively involved in implementation. Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and strong stakeholder management skills are essential.
Preferred qualifications include experience with AI/GenAI/LLM tools, organizational transformations, B2B SaaS backgrounds, hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, Kafka, dbt, and familiarity with DataOps and platform engineering practices.
