Salary: USD 220,000 - 310,000 / annual
Verkada is a $5.8B-valued physical AI platform company protecting organizations with integrated solutions for video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management. The company serves 30,000+ customers (100+ Fortune 500) across 170+ countries with 2+ million deployed devices.
You will lead the Business Systems Product team within the CIO organization, owning product strategy and execution across Verkada's four core value streams: Quote-to-Cash, Attract-to-Hire-to-Retire, Procure-to-Pay, and Record-to-Report. These systems determine how fast the company can sell, hire, source, ship, and close the books.
Your portfolio spans both external-facing systems (Partner Portal, vStore, customer-facing experiences) and internal-facing systems (employee lifecycle, financial operations). The bar is identical for both: intuitive systems requiring minimal training, scalable to support company growth without proportional headcount growth, and systems that work seamlessly when connected (e.g., partner orders flowing cleanly into NetSuite, headcount plans reconciling between Workday and financial models).
You will manage a team of 6–10 product managers and analysts organized by function: Partner Ecosystem, Finance, Supply Chain & Operations, Legal, and People. Each PM owns their function's systems roadmap and serves as the product counterpart to that function's leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build streamlined features for pricing configurations, automated approvals, checkout, payments, and fund requests (MDF/JSF) enabling partners to operate without manual intervention
- Recruit, coach, and develop 6–10 PMs to write strong requirements, manage roadmaps, and serve as strategic partners to business leaders
- Drive product strategy, architecture, and roadmap for all enterprise business systems supporting scalable, public-company growth
- Define systems roadmap, lead make-vs-buy decisions, manage total cost of ownership (TCO), and establish standardized intake processes
- Own Partner Ecosystem & vStore: build and scale self-service portal for quoting, deal registration, order management, and billing
- Own Finance systems: oversee NetSuite order-to-cash and financial close
- Own Supply Chain systems: manage inventory, order processing, logistics, and contract manufacturer integrations
- Own Legal & People systems: automate employee lifecycle and identity/access provisioning
- Build SOX-ready controls, auditability, and data warehouse integrations to public-company standards
This is a fully onsite role at Verkada's San Mateo headquarters.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, CS, Finance, Business, or another technical/analytical field
- 10+ years in product management, business systems, or related technical role, including 3+ years leading product managers (experience managing managers is a plus)
- Track record owning enterprise systems end-to-end across multiple business functions, accountable for outcomes not just delivery
- Experience with both external-facing and internal-facing systems, with conviction that quality bar should be identical for both
- Experience designing for multiple personas on shared surfaces (seller, admin, finance user) without compromising any
- Depth in at least two of: quote-to-cash, record-to-report, procure-to-pay, supply chain planning/fulfillment, or employee lifecycle; credible curiosity about the rest
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, or comparable platforms, and integration patterns connecting them
- Basic SQL, Python, JavaScript, and HTML; ability to interrogate data independently
- Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and experience partnering with design; ability to evaluate wireframes and distinguish adopted workflows from workarounds
- Experience preparing and delivering to executive leadership, defending roadmaps and make-vs-buy recommendations
- Ability to handle ambiguity, move fast, and build alignment across demanding stakeholder groups while keeping leadership informed and bought in
