Omnidian is a Series C tech-enabled service company revolutionizing performance assurance for distributed solar and energy storage. Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer, the Director of Business Process Excellence will establish enterprise process architecture, standards, and governance while personally leading cross-functional improvement initiatives across Go-To-Market, Operations, Field Services, and Technology.
The role is structured around four key areas:
**Enterprise Process Architecture & Optimization (30%):** Own enterprise process architecture and lead design of end-to-end workflows across business functions and core systems. Conduct hands-on process discovery to identify handoff friction, cycle-time lag, and rework drivers. Architect target operating models and streamlined workflows. Ensure operational designs support product profitability and client service commitments.
**Core Operations Re-Architecture & Upstream Integration (30%):** Partner with Operations and Field Service leadership to re-architect high-friction value streams including diagnostic triage, technician dispatch, schedule density, and back-office handoffs. Trace workflows upstream into Go-To-Market, Lead-to-Quote, contracting, and sales-to-onboarding to resolve root-cause friction. Lead process baselining for global platform migrations and regional expansions.
**Collaborative Capability Model & Functional SME Partnership (25%):** Coordinate with process talent embedded across functional departments to establish unified enterprise process standards. Co-design with functional owners on standardized process mapping, workflow notation, and documentation templates. Coach teams on structured process engineering and continuous improvement methodologies.
**Governance, Enterprise Guardrails & Systems Alignment (15%):** Provide technical architecture and objective data recommendations while functional leaders maintain decision-making authority. Evaluate cross-functional handoffs and challenge sub-optimization. Surface bottleneck metrics and trade-off recommendations to executive leadership. Define business architecture and technical system requirements for enterprise software. Partner with Technology and IT to translate process designs into platform specifications.
You are a strategic lead and active practitioner capable of constructively challenging senior executives while executing detailed work. You think systemically about end-to-end workflows, facilitate alignment across matrixed teams without direct authority, and make data-driven decisions.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum 8–10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise process engineering, value stream mapping, operational excellence, or management consulting with proven track record of re-architecting complex cross-functional operations
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or Master Black Belt / equivalent formal continuous improvement pedigree) required
- Deep experience integrating business operational workflows into major enterprise software platforms (CRM, Field Service Management tools)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Systems Engineering, or technical/quantitative field required; advanced degree or MBA preferred
- Proven ability to act as both strategic lead and active practitioner with gravitas to challenge senior leaders (SVP/VP/C-suite) and align matrixed teams
- Experience in clean energy, renewable technology, technical field service, logistics, or complex operational environments strongly preferred
- Track record supporting global operations, regional expansions, or platform migrations a plus
