Thunes is seeking a Director of Network Development for its Commercial division, based in Miami, FL. This role reports to the Americas Head of Network Development and owns the strategic development and management of network partnerships across the region, combining commercial and operational responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include driving strategic roadmap planning and execution of revenue opportunities with network partners and financial institutions in the Americas; identifying unmet outbound payment flow requirements and applying knowledge of the Thunes Network to solve cross-border money movement needs; leading deal execution and lifecycle management; and managing key partnership accounts at operational and group levels for large financial institution groups.
The Director will work to enhance the Thunes proprietary network's competitive positioning in the market by optimizing cross-border costs and quality of service. This involves collaborating with global and regional financial institutions and payment service providers to drive payment flows through joint go-to-market initiatives, while coordinating with internal and external cross-functional stakeholders to ensure operational excellence.
The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of commercial experience working with financial institutions and cross-border payments companies in the region. A background in consulting, investment banking, or professional services (law, Big 4) is highly valued. The role requires strong business acumen in the global cross-border space, sharp influencing and collaboration skills, and a data-driven, methodical approach to problem-solving. Fluency in English and Spanish is required; Portuguese proficiency is a bonus. The candidate should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of creative thinking to drive superior commercial outcomes.
