Zocdoc is a healthcare marketplace that empowers patients by making it easy to find and book in-person or virtual care across all 50 states, 200+ specialties, and 12,000+ insurance plans. As Director of Marketing Data Science, you will own the measurement strategy that determines how Zocdoc invests in reaching patients and providers across B2C patient acquisition, B2B provider marketing, lifecycle, and brand initiatives.
This is a greenfield opportunity to define and build a rigorous, unified marketing measurement function from the ground up. You will have full ownership of Zocdoc's marketing measurement strategy, including attribution, incrementality, and ROI measurement across all channels and business lines.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include: hands-on development of complex analytical work such as media mix modeling (MMM), multi-touch attribution (MTA), incrementality and lift testing, LTV modeling, and brand measurement; partnering with the CMO and marketing leaders to translate strategy into analytical frameworks and surface insights that drive investment decisions; building deep understanding of patient and provider audiences to inform segmentation and targeting; managing and developing a team of Staff+ data scientists and junior managers; designing and executing marketing experimentation programs including geo-based holdout tests and causal inference methods; standardizing marketing measurement methodology across channels and business lines; leveraging cutting-edge GenAI tools to accelerate measurement workflows; and collaborating with data science and data platform teams on measurement infrastructure.
You should have 8+ years in data science or quantitative marketing, with at least 3 years focused on marketing measurement (MMM, MTA, incrementality, causal inference) at a B2C technology company. You must have a track record of personally building and executing complex measurement models in production, not just overseeing others' work. You are hands-on, genuinely curious about the frontier of marketing measurement, comfortable translating complex statistical concepts into business decisions, and energized by building something new rather than optimizing mature functions.
