Bicara Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotech company pioneering bifunctional antibodies for targeted tumor modulation, seeks a Director of Market Access Pricing and Strategy to lead commercial preparation for its lead asset, ficerafusp alfa (FICERA). Reporting to the SVP of Market Access, you will own the development of Bicara's U.S. pricing strategy, shaping the payer value proposition, contracting approach, and reimbursement strategy. You will apply evidence-based outcomes and analog insights to inform pricing decisions and serve as a recognized subject matter expert across the organization. Key responsibilities include: leading the development and execution of U.S. market access strategy for FICERA, including payer engagement, reimbursement coverage, and access support; developing U.S. pricing and contracting strategy incorporating payer research, competitive dynamics, and value assessment; shaping a differentiated payer value proposition and identifying evidence requirements to demonstrate clinical, economic, and patient value; developing and executing payer research and engagement plans across national and regional health plans, PBMs, and pathways organizations; continuously monitoring federal and state policy changes impacting U.S. pricing initiatives; serving as the organization's primary subject-matter expert on ASP, J-Code, pass-through, buy-and-bill, reimbursement, and IRA topics; building, mentoring, and managing functional talent as the pricing and access function grows; and continuously assessing competitive dynamics to inform strategy. This role is remote with the ability to travel to Bicara's Boston office on a monthly basis. Up to 20% travel is required. QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA, PharmD, or other advanced degree preferred - 8+ years of experience including 5+ years in pricing, market access, or reimbursement - Oncology launch strategy experience across at least 5 U.S. product launches - Background in U.S. healthcare government relations preferred - Working knowledge of ASP, J-Code, pass-through, buy-and-bill, reimbursement, and IRA dynamics - Proven ability to work with and educate cross-functional partners - Strong analytical acumen - Executive presence with strong accountability - Demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects and priorities in fast-paced environment - Track record of efficient, effective, solution-oriented multitasking
