Salary: CAD 135,000 - 170,000 / annual

You will join the Investment Management team as Director, Manager Research & Oversight, reporting to the VP of Manager Research & Oversight. This is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the manager research and oversight function for NEI Investments and the Managed Asset Program (MAP). Key responsibilities include: - Lead, develop, and oversee the Manager Research & Oversight team across public markets, private markets, and liquid alternatives, setting priorities and building a high-performance function - Drive and implement the research agenda and investment process - Conduct ongoing manager research to identify opportunities to upgrade strategies or launch new products, staying current with institutional investment industry trends - Lead manager searches, due diligence, and selection recommendations for new and existing investment strategies, presenting evidence-based conclusions to senior leadership - Monitor and evaluate the performance of all products, identifying optimization and innovation opportunities - Provide thought leadership on manager selection, oversight, and asset allocation - Help drive the strategic vision for manager research and oversight, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives - Provide actionable insights and investment recommendations to senior leadership based on manager performance and market conditions - Continuously enhance the research and oversight framework, including due diligence standards, monitoring tools, performance attribution, and quantitative analytics - Act as a subject matter expert on investment products, providing investment insights to internal stakeholders and external partners - Present investment strategies and performance updates to clients and the sales team Requirements: - University degree in Business, Science, Math, or quantitative fields - CFA charter (required) - 8-10+ years of progressive investment industry manager research experience in asset management, wealth management, or investment consulting - Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development - Proven track record of evaluating and managing relationships with external investment managers - Proven ability to lead investment teams and influence senior stakeholders - Advanced skills or ability to quickly learn analytical tools such as eVestment, Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, Copilot, and Factset - Strong written and oral communication skills; fluent English required; French bilingual skills are an asset - Experience researching global institutional investment strategies and making recommendations - Strong understanding of multi-asset investment strategies, investment products, and portfolio construction - Experience with large datasets, Python, or quantitative investment techniques is an asset - Additional finance-related professional designations (CAIA, CPA, etc.) are assets - Master's degree in business, finance, or quantitative fields (Economics, Math, etc.) is an asset
