Celonis is seeking a Director of Management & Technology for the CPG & Retail segment across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), based in Munich. This is a leadership role combining people management with hands-on consulting delivery.
You will lead a team of 6–7 Value Engineers who work at the intersection of process transformation, management consulting, and AI-driven product execution. Your responsibilities include:
**Business & Account Leadership:**
- Own ARR targets, renewal forecasts, and net retention metrics for the DACH CPG & Retail sector
- Ensure high forecasting accuracy and drive accounts toward realized value
- Serve as Celonis Executive Sponsor on critical deals, leading high-impact executive meetings, value sprints, and strategic transformation workshops
- Partner with customer C-suite to position Celonis as the foundation for process intelligence, digital operational excellence, and Agentic AI adoption
**People Leadership:**
- Recruit, onboard, lead, and mentor a Munich-based team of 6–7 Value Engineers
- Maintain high performance standards through proactive coaching, performance management, and career progression planning
- Build an inclusive, high-trust environment that attracts and retains top talent
**Strategic & Thought Leadership:**
- Cultivate executive-level relationships across regional partner networks, services teams, and account executives
- Standardize and scale best practices, reusable solution blueprints, and CPG/Retail industry-specific frameworks
- Champion an entrepreneurial growth mindset and position Celonis as an innovation driver in retail and consumer goods
The role is described as "player-coach," meaning you will actively guide and mentor your team while maintaining an on-site presence with priority accounts and upholding strict quality standards.

**Requirements:**
- Native or business-fluent German (spoken and written) and fluent English required to interface with DACH market executives
- Based in or willing to relocate to Munich, with willingness to travel across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
- Proven leadership experience managing pre-sales, management consulting, or value engineering teams within Enterprise SaaS, Enterprise AI, or Management Consulting
- Deep domain familiarity with supply chain, procurement, fulfillment, and operational processes within CPG & Retail industries
- Demonstrated ability to directly manage or mentor a team of 6–7 high-performing individual contributors with strong passion for team coaching and talent development
- Strong business acumen with experience owning ACV, net retention, and renewal pipeline metrics
- Outstanding executive presence with proven track record of building C-level relationships across global brands and regional retail leaders
