Perle is an AI infrastructure company building expert-driven training data, evaluation systems, and applied AI products for leading labs and enterprises. The company operates a large-scale data collection platform where contributors record first-person video of everyday life and work—at home on their phones and on-shift in restaurants, supermarkets, shops, farms, and workshops. This footage trains the next generation of robots.
You will own the entire Colombia operation from the ground up. This is a full P&L role with complete autonomy over your country's growth and operations.
**Core Responsibilities:**
**Contributors:** Recruit people to record at home, guide them through signup, ID verification, and training, and maintain their engagement month after month. You will leverage neighborhoods, universities, WhatsApp groups, referrals, and events to convert leads into active contributors. Media agency leads flow to you; you convert them into producing people.
**Businesses:** Walk into restaurants, supermarkets, retail stores, farms, carpentry and landscaping businesses to sign them up and get their workers recording on shift. You close deals, launch sites, and ensure continuous production.
**Field Team:** Hire and manage a team of ambassadors and recruiters compensated on results. You set targets and own the numbers.
**Quality & Reporting:** Monitor accepted hours as the key metric. You prevent fraud, maintain contributor activity, and deliver weekly dashboard reports to HQ. No decks—just numbers.
**First 90 Days Success Metrics:**
- 500 active home contributors recording monthly, growing weekly
- 10 live business sites with workers recording on shift and a pipeline behind them
- 5 ambassadors hired, trained, and producing
- Weekly onboarding sessions running independently
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience building ground operations from zero: a city launch, field team, or sales territory. You understand what week one with nothing looks like.
- Supply-side experience at a gig or marketplace platform (Uber, DiDi, Rappi, iFood, or similar): recruiting and activating drivers, couriers, or merchants at scale and maintaining engagement. Consulting background (strategy or operations) is a plus if paired with real field work.
- Established network in service and manufacturing sectors in Colombia: restaurants, retail, food production, workshops, factories, farms. You have relationships with owners who take your calls. You can walk into a business cold, close the deal, and build trust.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- Native Spanish or Portuguese; fluent English. You will be on daily calls with the US team.
- Comfort with dashboards, CRM systems, and WhatsApp-based communication. Numbers are your language.
- Strong integrity. You will handle people's identities, pay, and trust.
- Willingness to move fast and adapt. Targets are aggressive, plans change weekly, and "that will take three months" is not acceptable.
