Twitch is seeking a Director, Head of Product Marketing to build, lead, and elevate the global product marketing function from the ground up. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will establish Product Marketing as a proactive, high-velocity marketing engine and strategic driver for the world's biggest live streaming service.
You will define the core value proposition of Twitch's product ecosystem for creators and viewers. Acting as connective tissue between Marketing and Product, Engineering, Data Science, Commerce, and Go-To-Market teams, you'll ensure that marketing feels like a platform feature, not a bug. Your strategy will move beyond one-off launch campaigns, anchoring instead in continuous lifecycle adoption and creator unit economics. You'll help communities understand the deep "why" behind tools before they ship.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, coach, and scale a world-class team of product marketers, establishing operational rigor, strategy briefs, and clear accountability loops that prioritize high-impact bets.
- Translate complex technical roadmaps and platform mechanics into compelling creator value narratives, demonstrating how Twitch's monetization tools drive creator earnings.
- Act as a strategic peer to Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to solve platform-wide discovery challenges.
- Partner across the business to ensure new features, onboarding pathways, and retention mechanics support recruitment and retention goals.
- Unearth deep audience affinities and user research to bridge the core gaming foundation with expanding lifestyle, sports, and creative verticals.
- Ensure every user-facing message, in-product promo, and CRM touchpoint delivers community value and respects the streamer-viewer relationship.
You can work in Seattle, WA; San Francisco, CA; Irvine, CA; or New York, NY.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in high-growth consumer tech, creator economy platforms, social networks, or two-sided marketplaces.
- 5+ years of experience managing and scaling high-performing, integrated teams.
- Deep, instinctive understanding of digital subcultures, streamer dynamics, and the reality of building an audience online; ability to talk with creators, not at them.
- Demonstrated mastery of two-sided platform economics, including creator unit economics, digital commerce, patronage models, and how product features influence creator retention (LTV) and viewer habituation.
- Exceptional written and narrative rigor; ability to distill complex, highly technical concepts.
- Operational courage, high agency, bias for action, and comfort saying "no" to low-impact launches to protect team focus.
