Shield AI is seeking a Director of Export Policy to shape the company's strategy for international release and deployment of advanced autonomy, aircraft, and AI-enabled technologies. In this role, you will lead policy engagement with the U.S. Government and allied partners on critical issues including technology security, foreign disclosure, security cooperation, and security assistance. Your work will create pathways for Shield AI's capabilities to support U.S. and allied national security objectives worldwide.
As Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing Shield AI's export control and international technology transfer strategy. This includes navigating complex regulatory frameworks, building relationships with government stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with ITAR, EAR, and other export control regimes. You will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business development teams to identify international opportunities while managing security and compliance risks.
Key responsibilities include: leading policy discussions with U.S. Government agencies and allied defense ministries; advising on foreign disclosure and technology security protocols; developing security cooperation frameworks; managing security assistance programs; and representing Shield AI in high-level government and international forums. You will need deep expertise in defense export policy, foreign military sales, technology transfer regulations, and international security partnerships.
This is a strategic leadership role requiring someone with extensive experience in defense policy, export controls, and government relations. You will operate at the intersection of technology, policy, and national security, influencing how Shield AI's advanced autonomy and AI systems are deployed globally to strengthen allied capabilities.
