Suno is building the world's first creative entertainment platform powered by AI music generation, enabling millions of users—from casual creators to Grammy winners—to make music. As Director of Editorial & Curation, you'll establish the editorial framework and point of view for how music is discovered and celebrated on the platform. You'll set the editorial vision for in-app playlists, artist spotlights, and the platform's musical taxonomy, ensuring it reflects both Suno's diverse community and the evolving landscape of AI-generated music. You'll oversee the development and maintenance of curation frameworks, champion artist features as community touchpoints, and balance algorithmic signals with human taste informed by data and cultural context. You'll build and lead the editorial team, hiring and mentoring curators while setting standards for music evaluation. Working collaboratively with Product and Engineering, you'll define how human curation and algorithmic recommendations complement each other. A key responsibility is developing a clear POV on how AI-generated music should be evaluated editorially—what "quality" and "originality" mean in this context versus traditional A&R. You'll manage the editorial balance between Suno-generated and licensed music, drive engagement through discovery and remixing features, and represent Suno's editorial voice externally with artists, labels, and press as a credible authority. You'll define and track success metrics for editorial programs, reporting impact to leadership. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in A&R, editorial, or related music industry roles, with a genuine point of view on curation and discovery. You're operationally strong, with experience building processes in marketing or editorial workflows. You're AI-fluent or genuinely curious about AI-assisted music, familiar with metadata and taxonomy systems, and an excellent communicator who can represent Suno credibly with senior partners. You thrive in ambiguity, move fast in high-growth environments, and have a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality. Experience at streaming platforms, publications, or AI companies is preferred.
