You will lead Polymarket's embedded analytics organization, managing analysts and data scientists aligned to growth, product, markets, finance, risk, and institutional functions. Your core responsibilities include defining analytics strategy, establishing rigorous standards, and building a high-performing team that partners closely with business leaders to drive better decision-making. Key responsibilities: - Lead, hire, and develop a team of embedded analysts and data scientists across multiple business functions - Own analytical standards, ensuring analyses are rigorous, decision-ready, and transparent about assumptions - Partner with business leaders to set analytical agendas aligned to company priorities - Protect the embedded model where analysts own outcomes within their teams rather than operating as a ticket queue - Build shared craft across the distributed team through review practices, experimentation standards, and knowledge sharing - Collaborate with data platform leadership on the metrics layer to maintain consistent definitions and graduate recurring analyses into modeled datasets - Own company-level reporting, board materials, and investor communications - Develop analysts into senior individual contributors and future leaders Required qualifications: - 10+ years in analytics or data science, including 4+ years managing analysts or data scientists - Expert-level SQL and statistical grounding to review experiment designs and causal claims - Experience running embedded or matrixed analytics teams with clear perspective on model strengths and limitations - Credibility with senior business stakeholders; ability to push back on executives with evidence while maintaining relationships - Track record of developing analysts, including promotions and managing performance issues - Strong prioritization instincts across competing functional demands - Demonstrated hiring and team-building experience - Comfort in fast-moving environments where business logic changes frequently Preferred qualifications include data science depth in experimentation design, causal inference, or predictive modeling; experience in marketplaces, exchanges, or trading businesses; and background in fintech, crypto, prediction markets, or data-intensive financial products.
