Earth Force is building integrated computer vision systems deployed on forestry machines to dramatically increase the pace and scale of fuels reduction and forest thinning, creating resilient forests and protecting communities from catastrophic wildfire. The company develops hardware through UI solutions that measure trees in real time, automate production reporting, and enable precision silviculture at scale. Currently commercially deployed and working primarily with the U.S. Forest Service and implementation partners under multi-year program agreements, Earth Force is approaching a critical growth phase.
You will serve as Director of Corporate Development & Strategic Finance, partnering closely with the CEO, executive leadership, and Board of Directors. Your responsibilities will include driving the company's most important strategic, financial, and capital formation initiatives; supporting capital strategy and business intelligence; evaluating high-priority corporate development opportunities; and developing clear recommendations that drive execution. You will interface directly with the Board, institutional investors, and senior stakeholders, combining strong financial and strategic judgment with intellectual curiosity to investigate complex opportunities.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead capital strategy and fundraising initiatives, including evaluating creative and non-traditional sources of capital
- Conduct strategic financial analysis including financial modeling, scenario analysis, long-range planning, capital allocation, and investment evaluation
- Independently investigate new markets, technologies, R&D initiatives, partnerships, and strategic opportunities, translating findings into actionable recommendations
- Create Board, investor, and executive-level materials and presentations
- Support M&A, partnerships, new business opportunities, and other corporate development initiatives
- Serve as trusted thought partner to CEO, CFO, Board, and investors on high-stakes business problems
QUALIFICATIONS (Required):
- 8+ years of experience in corporate development, strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, investing, or similar roles
- Direct experience interfacing with Boards of Directors, institutional investors, and senior executive stakeholders
- Experience with capital formation, fundraising, or complex financing transactions, including evaluating creative and non-traditional sources of capital
- Strong strategic finance capabilities: financial modeling, scenario analysis, long-range planning, capital allocation, investment evaluation
- Demonstrated ability to independently investigate new markets, technologies, R&D initiatives, partnerships, and strategic opportunities
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills connecting operational, financial, and strategic considerations
- Exceptional communication skills, including creating Board, investor, and executive-level materials
PREFERRED:
- Background in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, or similarly rigorous financial environment
- Experience supporting significant capital raises across multiple financing structures
- Familiarity with project finance, structured capital, government funding, strategic investment, or non-traditional capital sources
- Experience supporting M&A, partnerships, or new business opportunities
- Background in high-growth, investor-backed company environments
- Exposure to climate, forestry, infrastructure, energy, construction, industrial services, or asset-intensive industries
