Upside is transforming brick-and-mortar commerce by bringing online retail sophistication—profit measurement, attribution, incrementality—to physical retail. The company's platform helps millions of consumers earn 2-3x more cashback than competitors while enabling hundreds of thousands of retailers to acquire profitable customers. Billions in commerce flow through Upside annually. As Director of Consumer Product Management, you will own the consumer growth system end-to-end: conversion, retention, cross-sell, and organic user-to-user growth. You are accountable for hundreds of product decisions that shape daily consumer experience. You'll develop and evolve consumer growth strategy grounded in data, consumer insight, and rigorous prioritization. You'll raise the bar on app quality, polish, reliability, and trust. A key focus is driving multi-category adoption—converting single-category users (gas, grocery, restaurants) into engaged multi-category habits. You'll lead a team of consumer product managers reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer. Responsibilities include setting consumer growth strategy, owning product decisions for quality and reliability, driving multi-category adoption, building habit formation into core product, balancing supply/demand and unit economics, and scaling the PM team with an AI-centric approach. You'll partner closely with Design, Data, and Marketing to translate consumer insight into measurable product bets. Required: 10+ years PM experience with a track record owning consumer app growth through hypergrowth (conversion, retention, cross-sell, organic growth). You need strong product judgment for high-quality, polished consumer experiences and disciplined prioritization. Deep consumer app expertise is essential; secondary marketplace expertise (supply/demand, unit economics) is important. Experience building habit-forming products and driving adoption across multiple use cases is required. You should have an AI-centric approach to scaling product management and experience leading and growing a PM team of 5-10. Nice-to-haves: fintech, marketplace, or transaction-driven product background; experience designing for trust and credibility as conversion levers; exposure to payments or financial-experience product work. This is not for someone seeking a blank-slate visionary mandate or preferring large, layered organizations over staying close to product and team.
