Northwood Space is a modern space infrastructure company building a global network of phased array ground stations enabling real-time, reliable communication for satellite missions in national security, global connectivity, and disaster response. The company designs, builds, and rapidly deploys vertically integrated systems powering next-generation space missions. As Director of Commercial Growth, you will drive end-to-end business development and growth across Northwood's commercial customer base, from early engagement through contract award and follow-on expansion. You'll lead engagement with priority commercial accounts spanning satellite communications, direct-to-device and IoT connectivity, Earth observation, and the emerging in-space economy. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across commercial space operators and adjacent industries; creating and executing account and campaign strategies for priority customers and market segments; identifying, shaping, and pursuing opportunities aligned to Northwood's capabilities; partnering with product, engineering, and mission management teams to translate customer needs into company strategy and successful program execution; and providing market insights to inform product direction and long-term growth plans. You will serve as a strategic partner to leadership, helping shape where and how the company invests, prioritizes, and delivers in support of commercial space markets. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of business development, growth, capture, or program strategy experience supporting commercial space or adjacent technology customers, with deep knowledge of commercial space markets, business models, and buying dynamics. Experience with SATCOM, direct-to-device/IoT, Earth observation, in-space economy, commercial procurement pathways, or early-stage space companies is preferred. You must be able to work in-person in Los Angeles or Washington, DC, and meet ITAR compliance requirements as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
