Ro is a direct-to-patient healthcare company offering nationwide telehealth, labs, and pharmacy services through a vertically integrated platform. As Director of Care Delivery Learning & Development, you will own the learning strategy and programs supporting hundreds of clinical and non-clinical patient-facing team members, ensuring they have the knowledge, skills, and resources to deliver high-quality patient care at scale.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end learning strategy spanning onboarding, new program launches, ongoing development, performance improvement, and retraining. You will establish how learning needs are identified, prioritized, and addressed, creating efficient processes for intake, content development, cross-team reuse, maintenance, and governance. You will determine when formal training is needed versus targeted interventions, and select tools and technologies to deliver learning effectively at scale.
You will measure learning effectiveness by establishing how knowledge acquisition, skill proficiency, and on-the-job application are assessed. You will partner with Quality, Operations, and frontline leaders to use performance data and feedback to identify capability gaps, diagnose root causes, and implement targeted interventions. You will build feedback loops that continuously improve learning programs and frontline performance.
You will build and lead a high-performing Learning Center of Excellence team spanning training and knowledge management. You will establish clear roles, accountability, and ways of working across the Learning CoE, frontline teams, and subject matter experts. You will partner with Product, Quality, and Data teams to use Learning as a vehicle to achieve quality, safety, and patient experience goals. You will ensure the team stays at the forefront of adult learning technology and best practices, continuously evolving how learning is designed, delivered, and measured.
You are a strategic and operational leader who can build a scalable learning function in a fast-moving, complex environment. You bring strong judgment about when training is the right solution, a data-driven approach to improving frontline performance, and the ability to build and lead a high-performing team. You are a complexity buster—able to distill complex clinical or technical concepts into effective learning content. You are equally comfortable setting long-term direction, establishing practical systems and processes, and driving execution through your team and cross-functional partners.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, training, or enablement, including experience leading learning programs and teams at scale; healthcare, clinical operations, or other complex regulated environment experience preferred
- Proven ability to develop and execute a learning strategy supporting multiple functions, audiences, and business priorities
- Experience building or scaling a centralized learning function, including establishing operating models, intake and prioritization processes, content governance, and cross-functional ways of working

- Demonstrated ability to measure learning effectiveness and connect learning outcomes to observable behaviors, quality measures, and operational performance
- Experience evaluating, implementing, and optimizing learning technologies (LMS, content development tools, knowledge management platforms, learning analytics)
- Proven people leadership experience, including building teams, developing talent, setting clear expectations, and driving accountability
- Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence senior leaders and partner effectively with clinical, operational, technical, and quality teams
- Ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution, navigate ambiguity, and make sound prioritization decisions in a fast-paced environment
