Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Director of Business Development for the Advanced Effects business line within the Air Dominance and Strike Division. This role is based in Washington, DC and focuses on the US Army and international partner markets. You will own the strategy and execution for capturing ground and air-launched advanced effects opportunities, primarily with the US Army. Key responsibilities include: • Generating and capturing new Advanced Effects business opportunities by developing deep customer understanding, tracking programmatic and technical roadmaps, and monitoring competitive landscapes. You will manage ongoing client engagements, develop growth strategies, and lead proposal and capture efforts. • Developing comprehensive capture strategies and business plans that outline acquisition approaches, align with investment strategies, and drive toward program-of-record execution. This includes engaging stakeholders to shape requirements, securing funding, and building compelling win themes. • Driving product development and program transitions by translating client problem sets into engineering requirements, identifying key milestones, and communicating internally across the organization. Your client insights will inform new product decisions and ensure Anduril's offerings remain best-in-class. • Growing existing business by partnering with execution teams and product engineers to expand work with current clients and explore new opportunities within established relationships. • Serving as Anduril's ambassador to clients, partners, and the broader defense community, projecting the company's ethos and competitive advantages in next-generation defense technology. Required: Minimum 7 years creating or supporting new missile/weapons programs with requirements definition and acquisition strategy experience. Deep familiarity with US Army program offices, customer community, requirements processes, and operational needs. Prior acquisition or operational experience with missile systems across surface fires, air-launched effects, and air defense domains. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with senior executive and customer presentation experience. Ability to travel 50-75%. Eligible for and able to maintain active US Top Secret security clearance. Preferred: Experience shaping and leading defense industry capture efforts. High ownership mentality and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
