CoreWeave, a publicly traded AI cloud infrastructure company (Nasdaq: CRWV), is seeking a Director and Managing Associate General Counsel to lead the commercial legal team supporting the Americas Global Field Organization. Reporting to the VP & Deputy General Counsel, this role combines people leadership with hands-on legal work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
You will manage and develop a high-performing team of commercial lawyers supporting enterprise sales of cloud and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) products. As the primary legal advisor to the VP of Americas GFO, you'll help shape go-to-market strategies and execute sales initiatives. The role requires direct involvement in complex commercial transactions—drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and closing SaaS, IaaS, and professional services agreements with enterprise customers and strategic partners.
Key responsibilities include: leading and coaching a commercial legal team; serving as trusted counsel to senior business executives; providing hands-on support on multiple concurrent transactions; driving operational efficiency and deal velocity; collaborating across Product, Security, Privacy, Finance, and Operations; developing repeatable playbooks and templates; and fostering professional development within the team.
You'll work in a pragmatic, solutions-oriented environment that values cross-functional collaboration and a "roll up your sleeves" approach. The legal team is deeply engaged in strategic decision-making and partners closely with teams across the company to navigate complex legal landscapes while enabling innovation and growth.
Required qualifications: J.D. with active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; 10+ years of relevant legal experience negotiating complex commercial technology agreements (SaaS, cloud, IaaS); demonstrated experience managing and developing a team of commercial lawyers in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; strong business judgment and ability to act as trusted advisor to senior executives; excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills; and ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment.
