Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Digital Quality Engineering Specialist to join their quality team at their Costa Mesa headquarters. This is a foundational role designed to scale quality processes across Anduril's manufacturing operations and other sites.
In this position, you will bridge manufacturing operations and digital systems, troubleshooting and resolving production issues rooted in the Quality Management System (QMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). You will ensure data accuracy, material containment, and seamless quality engineering workflows while collaborating with Core Tech, production, manufacturing engineering, materials, and quality systems teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with Quality Systems Subject Matter Experts to understand QMS functional design and expectations
- Working with Quality Engineers to operationalize system parameter updates in the MES
- Investigating and resolving production and quality system issues from application gaps or errors
- Auditing, aligning, and correcting data attributes in ERP, PLM, and MES for production alignment
- Reconciling inventory transactions associated with non-conformances and quality variances
- Identifying digital anomalies affecting product quality and implementing systemic corrections
- Creating troubleshooting guides for users
- Supporting User Acceptance Testing for new solutions and workarounds
- Ensuring accurate and complete data collection for MRB, IQC, non-conformance, and containment processes
- Communicating process performance and quality system issues to stakeholders
- Proposing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures
- Collaborating with CorpTech and Production teams to align material movement rules with quality standards
- Reviewing and proposing continuous improvement projects
- Performing internal audits on processes and procedures
- Conducting deep-dive data and traceability investigations to identify trends and inconsistencies
Required qualifications include an Associate degree or equivalent in a related field, 1+ years managing and troubleshooting digital processes and quality applications, 5+ years in metrology inspection or quality roles, proficiency with CAD and inspection data management software, experience with non-conformance systems and software debugging, ability to read engineering drawings, experience with AS9100/ISO9001/IATF 16949 standards, and U.S. Person status for access to controlled data.
Preferred qualifications include a technical or Associate degree in quality/mechanical/aerospace engineering, ASQ certifications (CQE, QIA) or IPC certifications, and knowledge of Six Sigma, TQM, TPS, Lean, or Low Rate Production methodologies.
