Revolut is seeking a Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer to strengthen its financial crime and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance framework. This role sits within the Compliance team and focuses on ensuring that Revolut's financial crime and AML programmes operate effectively across the organization. Key responsibilities include defining, developing, and documenting the Financial Crime and AML Programme to manage regulatory risk and provide reporting that meets regulator and management needs. You will work closely with the FinCrime team and senior managers to identify, assess, and mitigate regulatory compliance risks. The role involves determining priorities and resources needed to control risks effectively, outlining customer identification and verification standards for onboarding and AML compliance, and managing the suspicious activity reporting process both internally and externally. You will train staff on identifying financial crime, escalating suspicious activity, and making external reports to regulators and law enforcement. Additional duties include managing filings with the local financial investigation unit and partnering with Product Owners to ensure compliance requirements are properly executed across the organization. Required qualifications include fluency in English, a bachelor's degree in law, finance, or a related field, and 3+ years of experience in a FinCrime role within financial services. You must have a strong understanding of AML/CTF laws in Gibraltar, GFSC's Distributed Ledger Technology regulations, and other relevant local regulations. Knowledge of best practices in financial services regulation, fraud detection methodologies, and emerging financial crime typologies is essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate others are critical, as is the ability to exercise oversight and understanding of financial crime and AML policies in a complex financial operation. Familiarity with EU regulatory environments and key financial crime regimes, as well as understanding of payment systems and technology-focused markets, is required. Nice-to-have qualifications include experience in FinCrime within crypto, a GACO Professional Compliance Certificate, and professional qualifications from internationally recognized bodies such as ICA or ACAMS.
