Socure is building identity trust infrastructure for the digital economy, verifying identities in real time and preventing fraud at scale. As Deputy CISO reporting directly to the CISO, you will lead company-wide security, data governance, compliance, and risk programs across a fast-scaling organization.
You will drive strategic AI and data security initiatives both internally and as a core component of product development. This is an executive-level role with direct engagement with the Board of Directors, enterprise customers, and legal teams on emerging AI risks and privacy frameworks.
Key responsibilities include: architecting and executing enterprise-wide information security, risk management, and compliance programs; embedding robust data protection and threat modeling into product development lifecycles; preparing security posture and cyber risk metrics for executive staff and the Audit Committee; collaborating with Legal and Risk teams on privacy requirements and AI/ML governance frameworks; serving as security ambassador to enterprise customers and auditors; overseeing vendor risk management and software supply chain security programs; and providing leadership oversight for detection and response, identity and access governance, and cloud-native security posture.
Required qualifications include CISSP, CIPT, FAIR, and CRISC certifications; proven track record presenting complex risk concepts to Audit Committees and Board members; hands-on experience architecting or deploying AI security solutions and AI safety frameworks; extensive experience managing enterprise vendor risk and third-party compliance; and high comfort level in high-stakes enterprise customer meetings and compliance audits.
Preferred experience includes overseeing detection and response operations in cloud-native SaaS environments, deep expertise with Okta and CrowdStrike platforms, and background in high-growth technology companies or AI/ML product sectors.
