n8n is an open workflow orchestration platform built for the new era of AI, enabling technical teams to automate faster with the freedom of code and speed of no-code. The company has grown to over 260 employees across Europe and the US, backed by top investors including Sequoia and SAP, with a $5.2bn valuation and 650,000+ active developers in its community. As a Deployment Strategist, you will lead enterprise customer deployments and help organizations turn isolated automation wins into scalable operating models that drive measurable business impact. You will work at the intersection of strategy, technology, operations, and change management, partnering closely with Forward Deployed Engineers. Key responsibilities include: • Leading the organizational workstream during focused on-site deployments, from executive kickoff through closeout, ensuring customer outcomes are achieved. • Guiding customers in implementing automation operating and governance models that enable sustainable scaling of n8n across their organization. • Mapping business processes to uncover high-impact automation opportunities, developing automation roadmaps with clear prioritization criteria and ROI logic. • Building business cases in the customer's language by estimating impact, modeling value, and connecting automation to executive priorities. • Navigating complex organizational structures to build trust across technical teams, operators, executives, and decision-makers. • Identifying upsell and expansion signals during engagements and handing them cleanly to the Customer Success team. • Feeding learnings from every deployment into n8n's internal playbooks, product feedback loops, and repeatable deployment motions. You will be based in Boston but expected to travel 30–50% of the time for on-site customer engagements, primarily across Europe. This is a remote-first role with flexibility, though travel is a core part of the position. REQUIREMENTS Must-haves: • Enterprise deployment experience in deployment, implementation, consulting, solutions, or technical customer success roles at B2B software companies. • Proven ability to drive adoption with enterprise customers in complex, high-stakes environments. • Strong business process mapping skills—ability to walk into unfamiliar operations, ask the right questions, and identify clear automation opportunities. • Operating model thinking: can help customers define governance, ownership, and ways of working needed to scale automation sustainably. • ROI and prioritization expertise: can build value cases, estimate impact, and help customers prioritize automation roadmaps based on business outcomes. • Technical fluency (no coding required): understand technical architecture, demo convincingly, and spot misalignments between solutions and customer needs. • Organizational navigation skills: build trust across levels, manage competing priorities, and identify decision-makers. • Strong storytelling ability: make complex technical concepts clear and compelling for senior stakeholders. • Willingness to travel 30–50% of the time across Europe for on-site engagements. • English fluency: communicate clearly and confidently with technical, operational, and executive audiences. Nice-to-haves: • Fluency in one or more additional European languages. • Experience helping customers adopt workflow automation, integration, AI automation, or internal tooling platforms. • Change management experience guiding teams through new operating models or technology adoption programs. • Enterprise transformation background where success depended on stakeholder alignment, enablement, and measurable outcomes. • Product feedback instincts: ability to turn field learnings into crisp feedback for product and engineering teams.
