As a Deployment Strategist, you will work at the intersection of strategy, customers, sales, and product to identify where AI can create real business value for large grocery chains and translate those opportunities into deployed solutions.
Key responsibilities:

- Own customer engagement throughout the entire lifecycle from discovery through deployment, managing stakeholders and maintaining day-to-day momentum
- Drive adoption and expansion post-launch by ensuring value delivery, identifying expansion opportunities, and feeding learnings back to Product and Engineering
You will work closely with executives, the commercial team, and engineers, and will have the opportunity to shape how the company works, what it builds, and how AI is applied in the grocery industry.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years in a customer-facing role such as strategy or technology consulting, systems integration, solutions consulting, solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or enterprise sales
- Strong discovery and problem-solving skills; ability to understand a customer's business, ask the right questions, run effective workshops, and turn messy business problems into focused use cases
- Commercial instinct and proven ability to work closely with Sales to shape and win new business
- Good judgment on what to build: can define an MVP, establish success criteria, make trade-offs, quantify potential value, and build a path from first use case to broader solution
- Proven ability to develop data-driven business cases and ROI models that translate complex customer challenges into actionable solutions and secure executive buy-in
- Experience owning or playing a significant role in complex customer engagements, including managing plan, scope, stakeholders, and difficult conversations
- Executive presence; comfortable building relationships and driving decisions with senior executives while also engaging with operational staff
- Technical fluency: can have productive conversations with engineers about data, systems, integrations, and AI capabilities; can explain these clearly to business audiences
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to move quickly toward outcomes on problems without obvious answers
- Willingness to travel 25–50% with more during active deployments; comfortable working on-site with customers
- Regular use of AI tools in your own work and excitement about finding practical applications
Nice to have:
- Experience as an early commercial hire at a fast-growing company, helping shape what was being sold
- Experience on the customer side as a category manager, pricing lead, replenishment lead, DC operations manager, or planner
- Experience with data, analytics, or AI programs at a retailer or company selling into retail
- Understanding of how a grocery or retail business operates, ideally with experience in merchandising, pricing and promotions, replenishment, supply chain, or DC and store operations
