Base Power is rebuilding America's electrical grid through distributed battery networks. The Deployment Engineer (Data Analytics) role is pivotal in architecting processes for rapid hardware deployments across Texas, ensuring positive customer experience and system uptime.
You will audit deployment data using SQL to ensure integrity across systems, design and implement scalable deployment pipeline processes focused on data collection and quality assurance, and build internal tools and dashboards using Python, JavaScript, and platforms like Tableau or Looker to automate workflows and provide real-time operational visibility.
Key responsibilities include performing data analytics on the deployment pipeline to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement, collaborating with engineering and operations teams to translate operational needs into technical requirements, setting up data collection systems for comprehensive hardware deployment tracking, and developing documentation for tools and processes.
The Deployments team sits at the intersection of hardware, software, data, and field operations. You'll work closely with field teams and engineers to understand ground-level challenges, use data to identify opportunities, and build tools that make deployments faster and more reliable. This is a highly cross-functional, hands-on role with significant ownership over current operations while architecting systems for future expansion into new markets.
Base is a startup where priorities evolve quickly. The role may expand based on business needs. The company emphasizes first-principles thinking, rapid execution, direct feedback, ownership mentality, and commitment to the mission of rebuilding the grid. Work is in-person and intensive.
