Ping Identity is seeking a Demo Engineering Business Analyst to join the Sales Engineering Operations team within their Identity & Access Management (IAM) cybersecurity division. This is a dedicated business analyst career path, not a software engineering track.
You will translate early-stage sales stories, GTM requirements, and product ideas into developer-ready user stories and functional prototypes. Working in a rapid prototyping environment, you'll partner with sales engineering, product, and GTM teams to capture loose feature concepts and structure them into clear, logical workflows in Jira.
Key responsibilities include:
- Translating sales logic and plays into structured user stories and data flows for developers
- Driving iterative prototyping loops using visual mapping and storytelling to bypass design bottlenecks
- Executing last-mile human validation through manual testing of complex IAM features, including real-world verification events like mobile push notifications and biometric identity checks
- Maintaining demo readiness by coordinating feedback loops between developers and sales stakeholders
- Responsibly utilizing company-approved AI tools to accelerate documentation and user flow generation
- Maintaining awareness of sales and sales engineering processes, advocating for improvements
You bring 2–5 years of foundational experience in business analysis, tech support, or systems analysis. You're comfortable working independently, excel at technical storytelling, and have natural curiosity for testing applications across multiple platforms and devices. Programming skills are not required; practical GenAI experience is valued. You'll operate in an agile, rapid-prototyping environment focused on working software over comprehensive documentation.
