PhysicsX is a deep-tech company building AI-driven simulation software for engineering and manufacturing across aerospace, defense, materials, energy, semiconductors, and automotive. The Delivery Operations Manager will be central to scaling the Delivery organization as the company grows.
You will synthesize live and forward-looking input from Account Leads, Tech Leads, Commercial, and Talent teams to create clear, decision-ready staffing views and recommendations. This highly collaborative, hands-on role combines strong stakeholder management with operational rigor and data confidence.
Key responsibilities include:
• Gathering and synthesizing staffing needs from Account Leads (future plans, project timing, customer priorities), Tech Leads (live needs, skills fit, transitions, risks), Commercial (pipeline, capacity, timing), and Talent (hiring theses, joiners, skills gaps)
• Maintaining resource planning tools with accurate allocation data, project ownership, allocation types (Direct/Investment/Pool/Surge), and timely capture of staffing decisions
• Monitoring resource planning metrics including bench levels, utilization rates, surge staffing, project balance, demand feasibility, time-to-staff, and skills gaps; investigating exceptions and proposing options and recommended actions
• Serving as primary point of contact for Delivery onboarding—both new company joiners and project transitions—coordinating with project teams and maintaining onboarding documentation
• Growing the role by proposing clearer prioritization principles when demand exceeds capacity, partnering with Talent to translate demand into recruitment priorities by role/skills/timing, and improving/automating workflows from onboarding through allocation, rotation, and transition
This role requires strong data literacy, process discipline, and the ability to translate complex staffing scenarios into actionable insights for leadership.
