Sydecar is transforming private markets by making them more accessible, transparent, and liquid through a platform that automates banking, compliance, contracts, taxes, and reporting for investment vehicles. The Deal Operations team owns the full lifecycle of every deal launched on Sydecar, working directly with fund managers and investors to solve problems, keep timelines on track, and ensure smooth execution. As a Deal Operations Consultant, you'll take the lead on complex and time-sensitive deals, building relationships with the platform's largest customers and serving as a first point of contact for critical issues. Key responsibilities include: - Building relationships with major customers to execute deals smoothly - Triaging and resolving time-sensitive customer issues that block deal execution - Making fast, responsible decisions in ambiguous situations and knowing when to escalate - Identifying product and process improvements - Liaising with Legal, Tax, and Product teams to answer customer questions - Developing expert knowledge of the product, customers, and venture investing industry - Supporting customer-facing projects and product discovery This is a hands-on role where good judgment, clear communication, and follow-through are essential. You'll work closely with fund managers and teammates while helping shape how the function scales over time. REQUIREMENTS: - 4–6 years of experience in deal operations, customer support, fund accounting, or similar roles requiring accuracy, communication, and time management - Excitement about working directly with customers, especially in urgent situations - Interest in and/or familiarity with venture investing and back office VC administration - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to thrive in fast-paced, customer-facing environments and be energized by unblocking critical deal moments - Strong problem-solving skills with ability to propose sensible, scalable solutions - Comfort working under pressure and context-switching across multiple tasks, customers, and workflows BONUS QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience in a startup, fintech, or investment operations role - Exposure to fund administration, deal execution, or compliance workflows - Experience mentoring or onboarding team members
