FlixBus is seeking an experienced Data Protection Officer (Datenschutzbeauftragter) to join its Compliance and Data Protection team in Berlin. This role is central to ensuring the company operates securely and compliantly across all jurisdictions.
You will advise internal departments on all data protection law matters, particularly GDPR compliance. You'll review and assess complex data protection issues, working closely with the group data protection officer and their team to implement data protection requirements across the organization without hindering business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expert consultation to business units on data protection legal questions
- Analyzing and reviewing complex data protection matters
- Collaborating with the group data protection officer and team
- Communicating GDPR requirements throughout the company and supporting departments in compliance
- Designing and delivering data protection training programs
You bring 3-5 years of experience in data protection consulting, with a law degree (Diplom or Volljurist qualification). You have deep knowledge of GDPR and German data protection law, strong communication skills to translate complex legal requirements for non-legal teams, and the ability to balance compliance with business objectives. Experience in international or multi-jurisdictional data protection is valued.
