BillionToOne is a publicly traded genomics company transforming prenatal and cancer diagnostics. We're seeking a Data Scientist to join the Prenatal data team in a full-stack analytics role.
You will contribute across the entire analytics value chain: data engineering (ingesting data from disparate sources into our central warehouse), analytics engineering (modeling, documenting, and testing data), and data science (analyzing, building dashboards, and delivering insights). You'll partner with senior teammates and work directly with stakeholders across the business—commercial teams, lab operations, clinical and quality teams, bioinformatics, and executive leadership—to answer high-stakes questions with data.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to the full analytics stack for Prenatal, including data warehouse ingestion, building clean and well-tested data models, and delivering analyses and dashboards
- Partnering with stakeholders to solve critical business problems: improving lab turnaround time, identifying at-risk accounts, supporting clinical outcomes analysis, tracking new product launches, and informing executive strategy
- Building and maintaining the central analytical data warehouse that aggregates data across the organization
- Using AI tools to accelerate your own work and help colleagues adopt AI to improve productivity
- Developing and maintaining Tableau dashboards and self-serve analytics
Required qualifications: Master's/PhD with 2+ years of work experience, or Bachelor's with 4+ years in data science, analytics engineering, or related role. Strong proficiency in SQL and Python/R. Experience with messy, disparate data sources and clinical/healthcare/regulated data. Hands-on experience with AI tools. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice-to-haves include familiarity with dbt, Airflow, Tableau, Stitch, Hightouch, AWS, or Clarity; knowledge of bioinformatics, molecular diagnostics, healthcare sales cycles, or prior authorization; and a biosciences background.
