Rain is a fintech infrastructure company enabling stablecoins for real-world payments globally. The fraud risk management team builds sophisticated, scalable solutions to protect customers while maintaining low-friction experiences. This role owns the metrics, dashboards, and reports that inform business strategy and decision-making across the fraud risk function. You will design and implement real-time monitoring systems for fraud signals and alerting thresholds, balancing risk controls with customer experience by optimizing loss savings, user friction, and margin improvement. You'll design, simulate, and implement real-time risk controls using both real-time and offline predictive ML models. A key part of the role involves partnering with go-to-market teams to demonstrate technical and business value of risk controls to customers, and effectively summarizing complex analytical results to leadership and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on experience working on automated fraud risk strategies and experimentation (A/B testing), including implementation of real-time and offline predictive ML models. You should be skilled in designing, building, and maintaining dashboards and fraud risk metrics. Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python is required, along with the ability to manage ambiguous problems independently and prioritize workload effectively. A relevant quantitative bachelor's degree or higher (Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) is expected. Nice-to-have experience includes work at high-growth fintech or financial services companies, customer-facing or GTM-facing analytics, background in identity risk/AML/payments fraud/compliance analytics, and fluency with AI-assisted data analysis tools. Rain operates with a flat structure, flexible working arrangements (hybrid with home office stipend), unlimited PTO (minimum 10 days required), comprehensive benefits, 401(k) with 4% match, equity options, and regular team summits.
