Plaid is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the Network Value Data Science team, supporting the Credit product area. This is a product analytics role embedded within a critical business unit, where you'll serve as a data and analytical thought partner to product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
In this role, you will translate ambiguous product and business questions into tractable analytics projects, perform both ad-hoc and strategic analyses, and champion a data-first decision-making approach across the organization. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining data models, dashboards, core metrics, OKRs, and KPIs that improve visibility into Credit's systems and quantify progress against business goals. You'll design and analyze experiments to inform feature launches and shipping decisions, and identify novel ways to influence top-line OKRs.
Plaid's Credit business currently focuses on income and asset verification solutions, but is expanding into cash-flow-based products that enable lenders to approve more borrowers, reduce losses, and reach new customer segments. You'll help shape this product strategy and drive improvements in product performance and user experience.
You'll work with SQL, Python, Redshift, Databricks, notebooks, dbt, and Airflow to enable trustworthy analytics and scalable reporting. The role requires strong communication skills to explain analytical methods, tradeoffs, and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
