Jerry.ai is a high-growth fintech platform that has transformed car insurance and vehicle management. Starting in 2019, the company has grown to 5M+ customers, raised $240M+, scaled revenue 70X, and achieved profitability in early 2024. The company is now expanding into adjacent verticals (home, motorcycle, RV) to become a comprehensive asset management platform.
The Data Science & Analytics team is composed of former McKinsey, BCG, and Bain consultants who drive insights and inform decision-making across the entire organization. Each business unit has an embedded data scientist who shapes strategic questions, pulls critical data, draws conclusions, and drives teams toward the next milestone: scaling from 5M to 50M customers and becoming a $10B business within four years.
You will join the central Data Science & Analytics team (14 people) and embed within one of Jerry's core business areas: Growth Marketing, Product Development, AI & Automation, or Strategic Partnerships. You'll own the analytical function end-to-end for your assigned business unit.
Key responsibilities include: defining the right business problems before analysis, building metrics and reports, running experiments, surfacing data insights, and driving outcomes by bringing recommendations to product, growth, finance, and operations counterparts. You'll be hands-on—not a pure strategy role—executing analyses and seeing initiatives through from conception to impact.
The culture emphasizes substance over process: no unnecessary slides, no corporate bloat, no waiting for approvals. You'll work with SQL (Clickhouse), Metabase, Python, Jupyter Hub, and GitHub. The team values first-principles thinking, direct communication, and ownership mentality.
Required: 2+ years at a consulting firm, investment bank, or high-growth tech company; strong SQL or Python skills; track record of owning ambiguous problems and delivering impact; ability to communicate complex findings persuasively to leadership.
