Jerry.ai is a fintech platform that has become one of the top 3 car insurance brokers in the U.S. with 5M+ customers and $240M+ in funding. The company has scaled revenue 70X, achieved profitability in early 2024, and is now expanding into adjacent verticals (home, motorcycle, RV) to become a comprehensive asset management platform.
The Data Science & Analytics team consists of 14 analytical professionals, many with consulting backgrounds (McKinsey, BCG, Bain), who drive insights and inform decision-making across the entire organization. The team is embedded within core business units and acts as a force multiplier for growth, product, operations, and strategic initiatives.
You will join this central Data Science team and be embedded in one of Jerry's core business areas: Growth Marketing, Product Development, AI & Automation, or Strategic Partnerships. You'll own the analytical function end-to-end for your assigned business unit.
Key responsibilities include: defining the right business problems before analysis, building metrics and reports, designing experiments, surfacing data insights, and driving outcomes by bringing recommendations to product, growth, finance, and operations counterparts. You'll be hands-on—not a pure strategy role—executing analyses and seeing initiatives through from insight to decision to implementation.
You should be a first-principles thinker who breaks ambiguous problems into clear hypotheses, a direct communicator who can influence leadership-level decisions, and an owner mentality who takes responsibility for outcomes. The role requires 2+ years of experience at a consulting firm, investment bank, or high-growth tech company, strong SQL/Python skills, and a track record of owning ambiguous problems and delivering measurable impact.
The team uses SQL (Clickhouse), Metabase, Python, Jupyter Hub, and GitHub. Jerry emphasizes no corporate fluff, no unnecessary meetings, and focus only on work that materially changes business trajectory.
