Jerry.ai is a fintech platform that simplifies ownership of major assets—starting with car insurance and expanding into home, motorcycle, and RV coverage. With 5M+ customers, $240M+ in funding, and profitability achieved in early 2024, the company is scaling toward 50M customers and a $10B valuation over the next four years. The Data Science & Analytics team is composed of former McKinsey, BCG, and Bain consultants who drive insights across product, growth, tech, and operations. Each team member is embedded within a business unit, acting as both analyst and strategic advisor—not just running reports, but shaping which questions to ask, what data matters, and what decisions to make. You will own the analytical function end-to-end for one of Jerry's core business areas: Growth Marketing, Product Development, AI & Automation, or Strategic Partnerships. Your responsibilities include: - Define the right problems: Translate ambiguous business questions into clear hypotheses before diving into analysis. Push back on flawed questions. - Data and insights: Define metrics, build reports, run analyses, design experiments, and surface insights that move key metrics. - Drive outcomes: Present findings to product, growth, finance, and operations leaders, explain what's happening and why, and recommend next steps. You'll work with SQL (Clickhouse), Metabase, Python, Jupyter Hub, and GitHub. The culture emphasizes no corporate fluff, hands-on execution, and tangible impact—every project must materially change the business trajectory. Required: 2+ years at a consulting firm, investment bank, or high-growth tech company. You must be a first-principles thinker, strong communicator, and owner mentality. Analytical skills in SQL or Python are essential, along with a track record of owning ambiguous problems and influencing leadership-level decisions.
