Jerry.ai is a high-growth fintech platform that started as a car insurance broker and has evolved into a comprehensive asset management app covering insurance, maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics. With 5M+ customers, $240M+ in funding, and profitability achieved in early 2024, Jerry is now expanding into adjacent verticals (home, motorcycle, RV) with a goal to reach 50M customers and $10B valuation within four years.
The Data Science & Analytics team is composed of former McKinsey, BCG, and Bain consultants who serve as analytical powerhouses driving decision-making across product, growth, tech, and operations. You will join this 14-person team and be embedded within one of Jerry's core business units: Growth Marketing, Product Development, AI & Automation, or Strategic Partnerships.
In this role, you will own the analytical function end-to-end for your assigned business unit. Your responsibilities include: defining the right business problems before analysis, building metrics and reports, running experiments, surfacing data insights, and driving outcomes by bringing recommendations to product, growth, finance, and operations counterparts. You'll be a hands-on contributor who not only surfaces insights but also sees initiatives through to completion.
You should be a first-principles thinker who breaks ambiguous problems into clear hypotheses before diving into data. You're analytically strong with SQL or Python proficiency, but your instinct is to ask "what are we trying to solve?" before "what should I build?" You communicate directly and persuasively, capable of walking skeptical stakeholders through complex findings and securing buy-in. You act like an owner—if something is broken, you feel responsible for fixing it, even outside your immediate domain.
Required qualifications: 2+ years at a consulting firm, investment bank, or high-growth tech company; strong analytical skills with ability to independently pull, structure, and interpret data; track record of owning ambiguous problems and delivering impact; clear, persuasive communication skills to influence leadership-level decisions. The team uses SQL (Clickhouse), Metabase, Python, Jupyter Hub, and GitHub.
